How Many Moving Boxes Do I Need?
Use a home-size preset as a draft, then correct it for closets, books, kitchenware, and storage.
The current full-packing presets begin with about 26 packing boxes for a studio, 44 for a one-bedroom, 68 for a two-bedroom, and 98 for a three-bedroom. They are editable assumptions, not mandatory box counts.
Planning information only. Confirm route, inventory, access, written moving documents, and applicable rules before booking.Kitchen, general, and wardrobe boxes are counted separately
Already-packed boxes still belong in the moving inventory
Crew packing time is different from material cost

What makes the starter count go up
- Large book, record, shoe, or pantry collections
- Multiple walk-in closets
- Garage, attic, patio, or storage-unit contents
- Fragile decor that needs smaller or specialty cartons
- A home office with paper files, equipment, and books
Do not mix up three different box numbers
- Packed-box inventory: boxes already ready for the truck
- Packing-service boxes: boxes the crew must assemble and pack
- Purchased materials: cartons and supplies the customer buys and keeps
Frequently asked questions
Can I change the suggested counts?
Yes. Presets are loaded only as editable assumptions. The customer can change every box count before calculation.
Why are wardrobe boxes counted separately?
They have a different packing benchmark and a much larger planning volume than ordinary cartons.
